Services today are:
10am on our parish Facebook page
10.30am on zoom (please contact Canon Janice if you would like the link)
as we mark the death of His late Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Today’s pew sheet reflects the sad news of the death of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Little information is available at present about how our churches might mark his life and death. The flags at Marown Church are flying half-mast, our 10am Facebook service tomorrow will be focussing upon the Prince and there will be a service from the cathedral led by Bishop Peter tomorrow which will be live-streamed and recorded then available through the diocesan website. As I am sure you can appreciate the coronavirus restrictions in England and here are making planning more complicated than would otherwise be the case.
In an effort not to confuse people or overload you with information I will send out details about services for Prince Philip, resuming public worship and other important parish matters separately as there are changes or news to report.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the very kind Easter offering delivered to the vicarage earlier this week. Dave and I were very touched by such a gesture and your collective kindness. We are looking forward to seeing you all again in person and pray that it won’t be too long before this is possible.
Prayers and best wishes to you all
Janice
