On Wednesday 4th August 7pm at Marown Vicarage anyone interested in helping with a parish fund-raising group is invited to come along for a chat and refreshments.  If you can’t come but are interested in helping with church fund-raising or have ideas to offer please contact Revd Steven Herron on 07624 308815.

Coming up……

The Revd Dr Glynn Jones, together with his wife Liz, arrive on the Island tomorrow. He will be serving as Interim Minister in the parishes of Bride, Lezayre & North Ramsey and Maughold & South Ramsey, looking after congregations in these vacant parishes until the end of November.  Please pray for their ministry in our diocese.

Henry Uniacke and Phil Craine are planning another pilgrimage along the Triskelion Way and warmly invite you to join them for part or all of a four-day adventure – from Friday 27 to Monday 30 August.  This weekend includes bank holidays on both Friday and Monday.   As in past years, they will follow the full 36 miles / 60km of the trail – from Rushen Abbey via Peel to Maughold, aiming to infuse the walking with a spirit of pilgrimage which may include prayer & reflection, poetry & silence.  All are welcome.   Speak to Canon Janice for more details.

At 7pm on Monday 9 August Michael Parish Church is hosting a Diocesan-wide MU Founder’s Day service. This years’ service commemorates the centenary of the death of its founder Mary Sumner. There will be a celebration of Holy Communion led by Revd Jeanette with MU Chaplain Revd Ruth Walker, followed by light refreshments. All welcome – men included!
