The Marie Curie Foundation have designated the first Sunday in March as a day of reflection in memory of the victims of the pandemic (110 in the IOM alone). The Bishops have suggested that Churches might wish to observe a minute’s silence at midday on Sun 3 March to remember the devastation that Covid 19 caused, and to pray for all those affected, then and now.
Services for Sunday 10th March;
10.30am at Marown, CW Holy Communion for Mothering Sunday when we will return to regular worship in the nave.
There will be no service at St Luke’s Church Baldwin in the evening as The Mariners’ Choir 50th anniversary service will be in
Peel Methodist Church at 6.30pmand our congregation will go there by popular request.
Dear friends,
A new month has begun, the daffs are in bloom and we are half way through Lent. I hope this is a season of blessing for you as well as time for serious contemplation.
There are a number of events and services coming up so please read the sheet carefully and note the dates, especially the Choral Evensong with the cathedral choir.
I am off island for a few days this week, Heather Paisley is the point of contact if you need assistance, her details will be on the vicarage answerphone and my email should you need them.
Every blessing
Canon Janice
