Dear friends,

There is a bumper sheet of news for you this week so please do make sure you take a look.

It is that time of year when lots is happening in our parish and beyond.

I would also like to draw your attention to our Eco Pledges-more about those during our worship tomorrow-but I invite you to take a look at those and see how many you can aspire towards over the remaining weeks of Easter.  Hard copies will be available in our churches so please feel free to hand them out to friends and neighbours.

Alas, the recycling bins at Marown Church have been removed (this was posted on our parish Facebook page on Thursday).  This is due to operational difficulties at the Western Civic Amenity Site.  We hope to have at least some of the bins back eventually but until then please take your recycling waste to the St John’s site and thank you for supporting this initiative thus far.

On an equally sad note, there seems to have been someone causing ‘mischief’ in Marown Church at some time during Friday 2nd May.  A few items of furniture had been moved and one of the altar candles chipped, probably knocked off the altar.  There has also been a comment added to the Visitors Book.  Whilst we want and encourage people to visit the church, the altar area is the most sacred space and is not ‘open to the public’.  Worshippers and visitors are respectfully asked not to go beyond the altar rail unless attending to the altar flowers.

I’m sure this is a one-off minor lark but please let me know if you see anything of concern.

Every blessing

Canon Janice
