Dear friends,

I hope the recent spell of sunny weather has raised your spirits and gladdened your hearts as it has mine.

It is as if God is smiling on us, a reminder that in a very turbulent world God has not turned away from us and that there are joys and beauty to behold.

We are focusing our attention on the approach of Holy Week, a time of sombre reflection but in the knowledge that the celebration of Easter is not far away.

It is also a time of general activity across the island of all kinds.

Please be aware of the Manx Rally next weekend which will see road closures affecting our parish.  In particular,  I have been informed of closures on Friday 11^th from 8pm until 12.30am around Baldwin and on Saturday 12^th April from 10.30am until 6pm, also at Baldwin.

There are other road closures round Foxdale and further afield.
