Dear friends and parishioners,
I have the exciting news this week that the long awaited redecoration of Marown Church has begun.
The church will remain open this week as the painter prepares the nave for painting so please be cautious if you enter.
The work is unlikely to be completed before the start of MGP next weekend but at least we will have a foretaste of what it might look like once finished.
Because of the redecoration, setting up for MGP cafe in Marown Church will take place next Saturday and the church will be closed then except for Sunday worship and competition sessions. If anyone is able to help please let me know.
Of course, we also have our guest speaker at St Luke’s Church this Sunday evening-Hannah Phillips from the Manx Wildlife Trust. I do hope you will be able to join us to hear about their aims and plans especially for the Baldwin Valley.
And don’t forget the Kids Craft afternoon on Wednesday at Marown Church-don’t worry we will keep the decorators and children separate!
