Dear friends,
It is an emotional week for two very different reasons.
Tomorrow morning we say ‘farewell’ to our curate Revd Steven Herron with grateful thanks for his ministry amongst us and in the joyful knowledge he begins the next stage of his priestly service with our friends at St Ninian’s Church Douglas.
We also reflect upon the sudden death of Andrew Hillas, husband of Bishop Tricia, who died on Tuesday. I have sent a condolence card on behalf of the parish to Bishop Tricia though you may still wish to send your own personal messages to her.
On the pew sheet there are fuller details of Revd Steven’s farewell service and lunch and information about Andrew’s funeral which will be on Tuesday 24th June.
My love and prayers to you all,
Canon Janice
