Weekly Pew Sheet 24-01-21

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Although lockdown will continue for at least a few days longer than originally stated, by God’s grace, we have seen some restrictions eased this weekend and the hopeful anticipation of others being lifted in early February.  I hope you find this comforting news alongside the continuing vaccination programme.  I will keep you informed of what is happening in our churches as soon as information becomes available but I hope services may resume on Sunday 7th Feb in some form.

Our Sunday worshiping together for today and for next Sunday will be by Zoom with the Cathedral hosting the site from 10.30am on Sunday morning – see website www.cathedral.im to download a copy of the liturgy. Revd Jeanette Hamer from Kirk Michael leads todays service.
If you have not already signed up for these services and would like to join in please let Canon Janice know asap and she will pass you details on to the cathedral.

In our own parish Revd Steven Herron will be saying Morning Prayer via our parish Facebook page on Wednesday 27th January & Thursday 4th February, both at 9.30am

This week…

Our parish study course reaches it’s final session this Monday 25th January 7.30pm. This session is ‘Revelation & Review’. If you wish to join in on-line then please contact Canon Janice. ( A Zoom link will automatically sent to those people who have been attending the sessions so far.)

Please note…

Due to the lockdown the Marown congregation have not met with our friends from the Crosby Methodist Chapel for worship as planned this month. Dates in coming months are being arranged.

The Foxdale Church soup lunches will resume as soon as it is practical to do so, please look out for further information about those in the coming weeks.

Scripture Union Ministries Trust (SUMT) is looking for a person to work within the Secondary school curriculum. The closing date is 5pm on Monday 22 February. For full information please see their website www.sumt.im or email Ruth at ruth.w@sumt.im
