Dearest brothers and sisters in Christ,

A degree of normality returns this weekend with a two day break instead of a bank holiday!

However, in our churches the celebrations continue as both Marown Church and St Luke’s Church mark their anniversaries.

We offer special congratulations to the Marown Branch of the Mothers’ Union who celebrate 100 years since they were founded and we welcome members from across the diocese to our morning service and ‘bring and share’ lunch, do join us if you can.

Looking beyond our shores, Christian Week begins and we remember the people of Burundi and offer our financial support to the cook stove project begun a couple of years ago.

Next weekend is the start of Praying the Keeills Week and this includes a visit to Old St Runius on 27th May.

As always full details are on the sheet.

Don’t forget it is Ascension Day this Thursday and there is a special service at the cathedral 4.30pm.

Every blessing for the week ahead,

Canon Janice
